Lost without you (Shiki Kurobane x Reader) part 2

CHAPTER 2 (Shiki's PoV)

I dragged Kakeru by his arm out my girlfriends room and slammed the door behind me. Kakeru didn't struggle he just followed my lead as I dragged him downstairs and out of the demon house. I could hear Meguru calling after us as I slammed the front door and walked abruptly out the gates.

"Hey Sheeks you look pretty pissed off" he said still following my lead

"Idiot..you can't see my face" I glared ahead of me still dragging Kakeru by his arm.

I had no idea where I was going.. All I cared about was getting as far away from that house as possible. So I carried on walking and Kakeru carried on following me. We arrived in the city centre. People were bustling around us going about their business. I could feel my heart beating faster and my body tightened making me feel as though I was going to throw up. Quickly I picked up the pace practically running through the streets.

"Shiki..." Kakeru called out to me. He sounded worried but I didn't need that right now.

"Shut up" i shouted back and carried on running ahead.

It was a number of minutes before we finally reached a quiet spot. It was a small field with a bench in the middle. I collapsed onto it my world spinning and my head pounding.

"Shiki...I know it's difficult but it's for the best..." He said softly

I didn't answer him. There was no need to. He was right this was for the best. But at the same time I wanted her to remember so I could carry on loving her like before. Yet it's simply no good anymore. There's no point regretting something that can't be changed. The only thing is that it can be changed, I can make her remember if I really wanted to. But as much as I want to embrace her again I would only be being selfish by doing so.

"Kakeru.. I don't know why I brought you with me here" I said looking up at him

He glanced at me with a worried look before saying " I'm sorry Shiki"

He sat down next to me and didn't say another word. We sat in complete silence for around the next hour. I have no idea why I came here I just didn't want to be at the house for a moment longer. And Kakeru... I brought him because he was being stupid. I have no idea why he let me bring him here though.He knows not to go into _____'s room. Oh _____..... She must be so confused right now.

"We should go back you know Shiki... Everyone is probably worried as to why we have gone"

"Kay" I whispered standing up.

I have to stay strong around the guys. If I'm not strong then I can't do my job. And if I do my job right and I wait long enough I may be able to restore her memories again. And so me and Kakeru made the quiet journey back to the demon house.
