Chapter 1:

THWACK

My husband staggered backwards staring at me in disbelief. My right hand began to sting ,I was shaking,my eyed had welled up with tears and yet all I was fixated on was the red handprint on Koichi's face.He didn't move or even try to make excuses for himself he just stared at me teeth clenched and shocked at my reaction. Yet quite frankly he deserved it anyway. It wasn't like it was uncalled for or anything.

"Your scum" I whispered gritting my teeth and turning my back on him.

I walked away from there. As painful as it was to do....

(Two weeks prior)

It was just past 11:30pm and Koichi still wasn't home. His phone kept going straight to answerphone and I had had no information as to where he was or what he was doing. Let alone what time he was going go be back...

Worried I stayed up awaiting Koichi's return home. A couple more hours past and there was no sign of my husband. I was tired and I so desperately wanted to sleep. Yet no matter what I did to convince myself that my husband was fine i just couldn't bring myself to believe it. Lost in worry and confusion I paced around the living room fretting over the dilemma. Every second felt like an hour and I kept constantly checking the time and staring at the door.

KNOCK KNOCK

The sudden knock at the door made me jump despite the fact I had been waiting for that door to open for the last god knows how many hours. The door however didn't open the person just kept knocking.I opened the door half expecting to see Koichi. But Koichi wasn't there....
